FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- A planned Prince George's County police station in Fort Washington will not open this summer as originally planned due to budget cuts.
Chief Mark Magaw issued a statement Tuesday saying the cuts are preventing the department from properly staffing the station.
The department says stations in Oxon Hill and Clinton will continue to serve the Fort Washington community until the new station opens. An opening date for the station has not been set.
